Call To Order

The November 1, 2022, special called board meeting was called to order by Willie S. Davis III at 5:02 p.m
Lynn Flowers-Martin provided the Invocation.

Personnel Action

Attorney Yolanda Lawson called an executive session in order.

All attendees returned to the board meeting after executive session.

John Lyons Jr. made a motion to move forward with the candidate for hire for the Deputy Director position based on the Personnel Committee’s recommendation.

Yawntreshia Coleman seconded the motion.
A roll call vote was taken. The Board responded unanimously in favor to approve the motion.
John Lyons Jr. confirmed the motion carried.

The Board directed the BPL Executive Director and Personnel Officer to notify the selected candidate immediately.

If the candidate accepts the job offer, the Board selected an effective start date as early as November 7th. If the candidate is not able to start on November 7th, the next available start date will be November 21st.

Other Business

Attorney Yolanda Lawson announced this would be her last meeting. The Board wished her well on her future endeavors.
