All databases are available in every branch of the Birmingham Public Library, unless otherwise noted. A JCLC library card can be used to access many of the databases, however licensing restrictions force us to limit access to certain databases to residents of Birmingham.

Network Navigator is a free online digital platform that helps entrepreneurs and small business owners in the Birmingham metro area find the resources they need to start, grow, and scale their businesses. The platform brings together a variety of services in one place, including:

  • - A directory of local business support organizations, lenders, incubators, and advisors.
  • - Information about grants, loans, and other funding opportunities.
  • - Business workshops, networking events, and educational programs.
  • - Mentor matching for entrepreneurs.
  • - A small business directory highlighting local businesses.
  • - An AI-powered business assistant ("NAVI") and business readiness assessment that provide personalized recommendations based on where a business is in its journey.
