All databases are available in every branch of the Birmingham Public Library, unless otherwise noted. A JCLC library card can be used to access many of the databases, however licensing restrictions force us to limit access to certain databases to residents of Birmingham.

The Birmingham Times is a weekly African-American newspaper published in Birmingham, Alabama. It was founded in 1964 by Jesse Lewis Sr. in order to give the local Black community a greater voice during the civil rights struggle. It includes full-text editorials, newsletters, and in-depth reporting about local and state-wide politics, sports, and other subjects of interest. See also https://www.birminghamtimes.com/.
